PROMOTION NORMS FOR FOUNDATIONAL STAGE (Nursery, LKG, UKG, Class I and Class II)

  • There are no formal examinations. The students are assessed through assignments.
  • The Report Cards of the children are based on the assessment and evaluation done by their teachers on the basis of day-to-day observations and on the basis of informal tests.

PROMOTION NORMS FOR PREPARATORY STAGE (Class III, Class IV and Class V)

  • There are two formal examinations, i.e., the half-yearly Examination and the annual examination.
  • The Report Cards of the children are based on the assessment and evaluation done by their teachers on the basis of day-to-day observations and on the basis of periodic tests.
  • The marks scored in the two best periodic tests for each term are considered.
  • Minimum 33% must be secured in aggregate and in all subjects.
  • Project Work is planned for all subjects. The projects relate to familiar topics and target at the development of research and presentation skills and not simply learning by rote. Children are given exposure to both individual and group project work. The marks scored in one project are taken into account for each term.
  • Due credit is given to regularity, punctuality, timely submission of assignments, as well as neatness. Marks are deducted for untidy or illegible work.
  • All activities opted for by the student are performance-oriented. Every child should score a satisfactory grade in the same.
  • As per the CBSE guidelines, we follow a no-detention policy (according to RTE)
  • Re-Examination is taken only for those who score below a threshold level (33%).
  • The school aims at child-centric education with holistic development of each child.

PROMOTION NORMS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STAGE (Class VI, Class VII and Class VIII)

  • In Term system, the whole syllabus is divided in two parts and examinations are conducted in two terms. The syllabus covered in first term is not included in the second term except for some topics. There are two formal examinations in the months of September (Half-Yearly) and February (Annual), apart from Periodic Tests. Minimum 33% in each subject must be secured in each term.
  • The Report Cards of the children are based on the assessment and evaluation done by their teachers on the basis of day-to-day observations and on the basis of periodic tests.
  • The best marks scored in one of the two periodic tests for each term is considered.
  • Minimum 33% must be secured in aggregate and in all subjects.

  • Apart from periodic tests, three formal examinations are conducted in the months of September, December and February, i.e., the half-yearly Examination, Pre-Board Examination I and II/annual examination.
  • For the annual examination/pre-board examination, question papers are set from the whole syllabus, strictly as per CBSE guidelines.
  • The Report Cards of the children are based on the assessment and evaluation done by their teachers on the basis of periodic tests.
  • The best marks scored in one of the two periodic tests for each term is considered.
  • A minimum of 33% must be secured in the aggregate and also in all subjects.
  • Project work is planned in all subjects and is considered a student’s portfolio (as mentioned in CBSE guidelines). The marks scored in one project are taken into account for each term in classes where formal assessment is done.
  • All activities opted for by the student are performance-oriented. Every child should score a satisfactory grade in the same.
  • Students’ learning is assessed and evaluated using CCE.
  • Minimum 75% attendance is required for promotion from Class IX to Class X.
  • Re-Examination is taken for all those who score below a threshold level (33%).

PROMOTION NORMS FOR SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STAGE (Class XI and Class XII)

  • Three examinations are conducted on CBSE examination pattern in the month of September (Half Yearly Examination), December (Pre-Board I) and January (Pre-Board II)/Annual Examination. 
  • For the Annual Examination/pre-board Examination, question papers are set from the whole syllabus, strictly as per CBSE guidelines.
  • The Report Cards of the children are based on the assessment and evaluation done by their teachers on the basis of periodic tests.
  • The best marks scored in one of the two periodic tests for each term is considered.
  • Minimum 75% attendance is required for promotion from Class XI to Class XII.
  • Re-Examination is taken only for those who score below  a threshold level (33%).
